Huawei and ZOOM Partner for Managed Services
ZOOM mobile one of Nigeria’s pioneer CDMA telecommunication companies, recently entered into partnership with telecommunications support giant Huawei, to enhance its network stability and capability
The partnership is aimed at providing better service in telephony and data services through a total support and management of the network, outsourcing Zoom’s national radio access and core network to Huawei to manage.
Edwin M. Momife the CEO of ZOOM Mobile confirmed this last week at the company’s headquarters stating that ‘in line with the growth of telecommunications globally, it is crucial for any forward thinking communications network to have credible partners to assist in offering optimum service to its subscribers. In line with the company’s growth plan, especially in the data offering, it makes absolute sense to partner with a company like Huawei moving forward.
Director, Managed Services for Huawei Ricky Agba, says partnering with ZOOM mobile in this venture is to aid in lending credence to Zoom Mobile’s customer base by bringing up and maintaining its network to ensure improved quality of service, network stability and, enhanced network management, to ensure maximum up time for Zoom subscribers.
ZOOM Mobile plans to launch several new products on its platform in the next couple of weeks. With the free dongle promo, unlimited data plan on the 1x and EVDO platforms and the introduction of affordable smart devices, Zoom is already winning back most of its former customers.
